ESG: more than an acronym, our reason for existing
In addition to being the center of our business, sustainability is in our way of acting and thinking. Lwart Soluções Ambientais' activities are supported by the 3 pillars of the acronym ESG.
1. Environment
We collect potentially hazardous waste from the environment, target, re-refine, recycle. In the case of oil, for example, we return to society a new product through a more sustainable process. Refining emits 8 times less CO²eq into the atmosphere than the illegal burning of OLUC.
2. Society
In addition to the environmental benefit of our work, which reflects on improving the quality of people´s lives, we are recognized for offering an attractive and inclusive work environment, which aims at the constant development of our employees. We also operate in a series of social initiatives aimed at the the communities´social development where we are present. See some below.
3. Governance
Ethical and integrity issues are a fundamental part of Lwart Environmental Solutions' values. We are committed to ensuring the transparency of all our services, processes and management through codes of conduct that must be followed by all administrators and employees. Our Ethics Committee ensures honest management, in accordance with the law, and the best market practices.

Actions that transform
The transformations that Lwart promotes are not restricted to the materials we collect and target. We have a long history of social activity, inspired by the principles of sustainability and social responsibility.
Initially, we map and select the social projects that best fit the needs of the communities where we are present, always taking into account our policy of action and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) pointed out by the UN.
So we support and encourage these projects, which contribute to the improvement of society as a whole, our partners and communities surrounding our units.

Developing
social protagonists
We are maintainers of the Lidera Jovem Institute, which is a reference in the youth leadership development focused on empowerment, protagonism, entrepreneurship, citizen socio-education and human rights. The Institute primarily benefits adolescents and young people between 13 and 18 years old from Lençóis Paulista and the region.
We believe in the Institute's mission of creating opportunities for young people through training and creating spaces that generate reflections, so that adolescents develop their positive leadership skills, knowing that they are protagonists of their lives, besides being agents of community transformation.

Let's Renew Together?
A project that has united our values, reverse logistics and circular economy. When we changed our visual identity, we asked our employees, from North to South of the country, to return the pieces of uniform that would be discarded because they still have the company's old logo.
About 850kg of uniforms were collected and transformed into more than 1,000 blankets, given to 10 social institutions in eight Brazilian cities.
By transforming discarded tissue into something noble again, we also reinsert them back into society and help people in vulnerable situations.
ALBA (Lençoense Basketball Association)
We understand sport as a transforming agent of society.
We sponsor sports projects such as those developed by ALBA with children and young people from 6 to 17 years old, teaching basketball and training citizens.
Once Upon a Time - Brazil
The project aims to collaborate with the development of education and national culture, encouraging research, creativity, originality and logical thinking through audiovisual workshops, comic books, music and theater. The project, designed for young people and teachers of the public school system 8th grade, has been sponsored by Lwart through the Culture Incentive Law since 2017.
In addition to knowing Brazil´s history, the selected students learn about Portuguese culture with a stage of cultural exchange for Portugal.
Municipal theatre Adélia Lorenzetti
We sponsored the construction of the Adélia Lorenzetti Municipal Theater, in Lençóis Paulista, and since 2016, we have supported its maintenance and free programming for the population. The house performs activities for children, young people and adults, in the modalities of theater, dance, music, circus and storytelling.
In 2020, with the suspension of the theater's live activities due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the amount added was used for works in the space, such as renovation of dressing rooms and curtains, painting of the audience floor, in addition to ensuring maintenance of the air conditioning system, elevators and gardening services.
Tale Time project
The project has existed since 2002 and serves thousands of children.
Through storytelling, fundamental topics such as the conservation and importance of the book are worked on.
The initiative contributes to the training of future writers.
Natal Cidadão – Christmas project
Annually, we invest in the purchase of toys for distribution to children from Lençóis Paulista, Macatuba and Alfredo Guedes. In 2020, more than 2,700 children aged 0 to 12 years benefited in 27 day care centers in the region.
Transformação 2
We believe in education as one of the pillars of social transformation and that the construction of a more fare, diverse and inclusive society begins at school.
With this focus, in 2021, we sponsored The Transformation Project 2, which was developed, conceived and executed by SORRI-BAURU in partnership with the Municipal Departments of Education.
For 12 months, the project directly impacted more than 12,500 students from preschool and Elementary schools, helping to reduce prejudices and beliefs about disabilities with the faculty and students of 19 public schools.

Education: Actions and projects aimed at educational activities and the development and professional training of teachers and students.
Culture: Actions and projects aimed at rescuing, disseminating and encouraging culture in Brazil, expanding access to its manifestations.
Health: Public policies and municipal initiative campaigns and health institutions aimed at disease prevention and the provision of free medical care, improving health and life quality in the community.
Economic Development: Actions and projects aimed at generating opportunities for the community through professionalization activities and income generation, promoting socio-economic development.
Sport: Actions and projects aimed at encouraging collective sports activities, social integration, leisure and training for citizenship and future athletes.
